Equaliteria Exercise Mat

a href="https://www.tomoson.com?code=TOP2a5bafc3b217ad8f5f6f5d0e0bed09f4" rel="nofollow" style="display: none;"></a>

Don’t freeze your butt off this winter.

Need a new yoga mat? Want to quit freezing your butt off doing sit-ups in your garage gym? Check this out.

I really like working out in my garage gym.  Then winter hits. Squats, deadlifts, and the like aren’t so bad because while I’m cold, my shoes protect my from the heat-sapping floor.  However, whenever it’s time to do stretches, sit-ups, or any other ground work, the misery sets in.  The hard concrete gets even more unforgiving when it also becomes cold. I finally decided to fix that this month and get a mat.

The Equaliteria mat is an excellent buy for just this purpose.  Measuring 72”L x 24”W x 1/2” T, it is perfect for performing sit-ups, crunches, planks, or yoga.  The mat feels thick and comfortable, an is light enough that I’m considering using it as a pad on some camping trips.

I really like the strap that comes with it.  This can be used as a stretch strap for warmups and cool downs, but also converts to a carry strap for the mat.

I have used this mat several times in the past week, and it has made working out in the garage much less miserable.  My knees and feet don’t get sore from rubbing against the concrete, and my back and butt don’t complain about the cold when I’m doing floor work.  I absolutely recommend this to anyone who uses floor exercises as part of their workout.  The mat can be purchased at:

Venture 4th Microfiber Travel Towel

<a href="https://www.tomoson.com?code=TOP6d09c05986fce5f00e2c8cd095655914" rel="nofollow" style="display: none;"></a>

Need a fast-dry towel for camping, beach trips, or the gym? Check this out.
I go hiking, running, and surfing a lot.  All of these activities get me either sweaty or soaking wet, so packing a towel in my pack or duffel is a necessity.  Normal towels are bulky, stay wet forever, and stink quickly.  Enter the Venture 4th Microfiber towel.

If you’ve ever been to the beach or gone camping, you know what it’s like to be stuck either without a good towel or with a heavy, wet towel which takes forever to dry.  Microfiber towels are great because they take up very little space, get you dry, and then dry off very quickly. Leave it on the hood of your car or drape it over a limb while in camp, and in 15-20 minutes you can pack up your now-dry towel and be on your way.

This towel packs light.  It comes with its own pouch, which is handy if you like to compartmentalize your backpack like I do.  Packing becomes as easy as sliding the towel into your main compartment flat against one of the sides of your pack.  This makes it easy to access and keeps it from becoming unrolled or unfolded as other things bump against it.
Even with its portability, this towel is big.  I grabbed the “Medium” towel, thinking that it would be more like  a standard towel.  Wrong; it is the same size as a beach towel. Even so, it’s so compact I decided to keep it.  You never know when you might want an emergency windbreak or extra beach towel to sit on.  If you really want to stay compact, get the small towel and you will be happy with your purchase.

This towel works really well.  Even soaking wet, I could dry myself thoroughly and not be left feeling slimy or like the towel was saturated.

Like all microfiber towels, this towel dries much quicker than a normal towel.  I left mine in a cold, dark bathroom, and it dried within a couple hours, compared to my normal towels which are often still damp almost a day later.  When I take it on trips, I’ll leave it in the sun and it will dry out very quickly.

This towel is perfect for any outdoors enthusiast on the go.  The pouch especially sets it apart from other microfiber towels I’ve seen.  After buying it and testing it out, I’ve made it a permanent part of my gym duffel and day trip kit.

Vitchelo 25L Waterproof Backpack

<a href="https://www.tomoson.com?code=TOPc04829f615aff880f79434b08275912c" rel="nofollow" style="display: none;"></a>

Surfing, SUP'ing, canoeing, and kayaking are all activities I'm very interested in, but keeping my gear safe and dry during these activities is always a challenge.  I can take a normal backpack, but this gets sandy and wet, and most backpacks are both a) not completely waterproof, and b) difficult to clean.  Enter the Vitchelo waterproof pack.

The Vitchelo waterproof pack is a solid 25L waterproof daypack.  It's made out of the same material you'd find in a dry bag, so it's waterproof and easy to clean.  When I received the pack, I was impressed with how solid it felt, the quality of the straps, and the fact that it has very sturdy sternum and hip straps.  Not only is this a great pack for the beach, it will hold up well to carrying a fair amount of gear as you portage your canoe, kayak or SUP from one area to another.

The pack held up well during my surf trip last weekend; all my gear inside the pack stayed clean and dry.  A waterproof case and lanyard for my phone also came with the pack, which allowed me to take underwater photos.  The lanyard will come in handy on SUP, kayak, or canoe trips.

At first I was a little turned off by the color; the bright blue is loud and sticks out.  However, if this ever falls overboard or is left in the brush, it will be easy to find.  Most wet gear is not made to be camoflauged (for obvious reasons)

I'm very happy with this pack and recommend it to anyone looking for a way to keep their food and gear high and dry on their next surf, ski, SUP, kayak, or canoe adventure.  The pack can be purchased at:

Wingswind bellyband holster

<a href="https://www.tomoson.com?code=TOPa710109036ecc154a3b90d3b1ac4350b" rel="nofollow" style="display: none;"></a>

I have been looking for a bellyband holster that lets me carry my pistol in my back.  I ordered the Wingswind bellyband holster because it looked like it would be comfortable and give me a variety of ways to conceal my pistols.

When I got the holster, my first thought was that I had gotten a fanny pack.  There's no getting around it: it looks like a fanny pack.  However, my second impression was very positive.  The belt is made of comfortable elastic and has a sturdy buckle.  This makes the holster much easier to take on and off.  It is also very easy to adjust with a sliding buckle like a backpack.

The holster does a great job with both compact and standard pistols.  It has an elastic loop to hold the pistol in place which can be tucked out of the way.  It's ambidextrous so you can flip the gun and magazine if you are left handed.  This also allows you to carry the pistol in your back, which is not possible with non-ambidextrous holsters.

The one problem I had with the holster is that the belt is slick, which means that the buckle slips and it can come loose.  If you are carrying the holster inside the waistband, the waistband also holds the gun in place and it doesn't move too much.  If this is a problem, you can use a paper clip in the belt to stop the buckle from sliding.

After testing the holster, I would recommend this to a friend.  You can buy the holster on Amazon at:

SurvivalHax water filter and collapsible bag

<a href="https://www.tomoson.com?code=TOPf58156049eb975b0461ea7972fdb182d" rel="nofollow" style="display: none;"></a>

Survival Hax Portable Water Filter & Collapsible Bag

  1. I picked up this handy water filter kit to fill out my bug out bag.  While I have a larger system in a 72hr bag at home, I wanted something portable that would fit in my 21L ruck that I use for work/daily carry.  This kit caught my eye because it was compact and multifunctional.
  2. When I first got the kit, I was surprised at how small it was.  The box fits in the palm of your hand.  Unpacked, it fits easily into a Ziplock bag and into a mesh pouch in my backpack.
  3. This kit will serve me well for longer hikes.  Some friends of mine got caught without clean water on a long hike one day and some of them began to black out and suffer from extreme dehydration.  Ever since I heard their story, I've been looking for a way to easily collect and filter water to prevent that situation from happening to me.
  4. The kit includes a water bag, screw-on cap, filter straw which screws into the cap, as well as a free flint striker/scraper for emergency fire starting.  Not only does the filter/cap fit onto the bag, it also screws onto a standard bottle such as a 2-liter or small soda bottle.  The kit is easy to use and filters water very effectively.  Just blow through the cap when you're done drinking, let the filter dry, and it's good to use again.  I consider this an excellent value for the price I paid.
  5. Kit also comes with emergency fire starting kit.
  6. This kit is excellent for anyone who spends an extended amount of time outdoors during warm weather.  It's hard to pack enough water on long hikes during the summer.  If something happens and you get hurt or lost, the water supply is the first issue to address.  This kit allows you to have a plentiful supply of clean, safe water as long as there is a natural water source nearby.
  7. The water filter kit can be bought on Amazon.com at:

  8. If you're an outdoors enthusiast, I encourage you to pick up the Survival hax water filter kit for your day pack. #survivalhax

Tommy Raz Bellyband Holster

<a href="https://www.tomoson.com?code=TOP922a54169eb594035f09a665b5c97a5d" rel="nofollow" style="display: none;"></a>

Tommy Raz sent me a bellyband holster for their review.  While I have a drop-leg holster for my pistol, I also want one that I can use to carry concealed.

Overall, this is an excellent holster.  It holds both full-size and compact pistols well and is very comfortable. It conceals my compact pistol very well when I wear a button-up shirt, hoodie, or larger t-shirt.  It's harder to conceal my full-size pistol, but that's due to my small frame rather than a defece in the pistol.

The only drawback I found is that the snap is very weak. However, the snap is also not that necessary. Neither pistol moved even when running or jumping around with the snap unfastened.  If the weak snap bothers you, I recommend gluing a small magnet inside the snap to help hold it in place.

Despite the issue with the snap, I still think it's an excellent holster and would recommend buying it.
